Spinning -sunday

Spinning around?

This beauty was my grandmother's, how many spinn it has done is hard to say, but it was a very dear and very used working-equipment which was loved very much. Now it has got to rest, and is just enjoying its retirement at ours.

Have a very lovely sunday to everyone and everybody!
I hope you have a wonderful finish on your week and looking forward to a new one! I know I am.

Love,

Masy

When you're smiling
When you're smiling
The whole world smiles with you

When you're laughing
Oh, when you're laughing
The sun comes shining through

Our farm

Good morning to you all! It's a wonderful winter-morning here, -13 degrees, snowing and a bit windy. It's a beautiful winter-scene here in Norway, but I must admit I'm thinking more and more of spring now and longing a bit these days when I just can't put enough clothes on before I go out! So, with that being said, I found some photos from last spring that I wanted to share to give you a presentation of our farm. Hope you'll enjoy, I know I loved to see the green grass again so to know that there still is hope!

This is the old house, the first mansion-house that was built in the 1650s. It's filled with old gadgets and interior from the beginning and up until this day.

This is a small house we call "stabbur" in norwegian. It was used as a place to dry meat, to store food and storage. To day it is decorated as a small cottage, really charming.

Now my heart is really longing for spring!
The building to the left is of course the farm. Up through the years there have been sheep, pigs and horses.

The two buildings at the far back were built in the 1900s by a family-friend who needed land. It's empty today.

The boat-house.

The main-house today, built in the 1970s.

- Have a wonderful winterday and a lovely start on your week!
Best,

Masy

Xmas-memories warming this cold winterday

Makes my soul warm.

Xmas-memory

A picture from our traditional christmas-lunch in the red house. This year twelve from our family was gathered in the small livingroom to eat porridge and try to find the almond that's hidden in the porridge - a typical norwegian tradition around 12 p.m. Christmas Eve.
