History

The farm was the main farm in a small village which in the old days was called Quernevik. The farm is originated back to the 1500s.
For a period, it was used as a hospital. The farm belonged to a monastery which is situated on a little island north of the farm; around one hour away by boat. This meant that the farmers had to pay a small amount each year to the monastery. All the farms in the same commune belonged to this monastery. In 1847 it was passed down to my family, but they still had to pay an amount for the coming ten years. The ruins of the monastery is very much visible today.

Have a wonderful evening everybody.
Please ask me questions if there is something you want to know.

Yours,

Masy
